Radio Islam International together with the Roshnee based Islamic Medical Association (IMA) has unveiled a new mobile clinic to render primary healthcare services to disadvantaged and poor communities.
The launch took place the Lawley informal settlement south of Johannesburg on Thursday.
The IMA and Radio Islam International has been in partnership for over four years.
The organisations Yusuf Sather says they identify areas where there is a need for primary healthcare services.
“This area in Lawley has been earmarked for quite a long time and unfortunately because of financial constraints and manpower we couldn’t basically come here. Hopefully this is a long-term relationship.”
Sather says Radio Islam, the IMA are doing all they can to serve communities for the pleasure of Allah.
