March 04, 2014

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2014-03-03

A copy of the Holy and Noble Qur’an has remained intact after a fire gutted a car in the Southern province of Jazan in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi daily, the driver was driving his car when the vehicle suddenly caught fire forcing him to jump out.

“The driver told me that the car belongs to his father who always kept a copy of the Qur’an in it,” a Saudi man told Sabq Daily, Emirates 24/7 reported on Sunday.

The man was driving in the area when he found a man next to his charred car.

When he rushed to assist the driver, he found that a copy of the Noble Qur’an was the only item that was completely intact, while the car was totally destroyed by fire.

“When I looked into the charred car, I was stunned to see that everything was destroyed except the Qur’an, which remained intact,” he said.

“I decided to document this miracle with pictures by my mobile phone.”

The Quran literally meaning "the recitation is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from Allah.

It is widely regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language.

Muslims consider the Qur’an to be the only book that has been protected by Allah from distortion or corruption.
