The South African Muslim Network (SAMNET) is calling on state security to spare no effort in investigating a suicide of a man clad in Muslim female attire.
It’s believed two people acted suspiciously at Cape Town station last week and when confronted by security, one of them chose to commit suicide rather than be caught. The other escaped.
According to SAMNET, the deceased turned out to be that of a young white male wearing boots and latex gloves but carrying no identification.
The organisations says it’s been inundated with enquiries from the Muslim community about more information regarding the incident.
SAMNET’s Dr. Faisal Suliman says reports indicate no crime had been committed by the man.
“So it then begs the question as to why he would choose to commit suicide rather than be questioned. The fact that he was found to be wearing military style boots and latex gloves and had absolutely no form of identification makes it all the more suspicious.”
He says The Muslim community is sceptical about the reports that this was a potential robbery gone wrong and could have been a pretense to cause death and injury in a public place with the blame naturally being laid at the doors of Muslims and Islam.
“We are also concerned that this may have been a false flag operation designed to indicate the potential presence of ISIS in South Africa and the repercussion this would have for Muslims and Islam.”
