President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation at 20h00 today on developments in the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The President’s address follows meetings of the National Coronavirus Command Council, the President’s Coordinating Council and Cabinet.
The government is proposing that SA move from adjusted alert Level 2 to Level 1. It is believed that the state is considering increasing indoor and outdoor gatherings, which coincide with election campaigning.
Earlier this month, the President addressed the nation. He eased COVID-19 regulations and moved the country down to lockdown level 2 as the number of COVID-19 infections dropped.
