Police have launched a manhunt for three armed suspects following the death of a 78-year-old woman in Laudium in Tshwane.
It’s understood the suspects broke into the home this morning which was occupied by three women including the 78-year-old.
The police’s Tumisang Moloto says they are investigating a case of murder.
“They pointed them with a firearm and they tied them with the cables. It is further alleged that one of the suspects pushed a cloth into the elderly woman’s mouth. A man who was In the other room managed to hear the commotion and then he immediately alerted the security officials. The suspects fled the scene on foot.”
Moloto has appealed to anyone in the community who can assist the police in the investigation to come forward.
