Police Open Inquest Docket After Lenasia Man Shot

Police have an opened an inquest docket after a 53-year-old man died in a shooting incident in Lenasia, South of Johannesburg. 

It’s understood the man went home to pray on Monday when the incident happened. 

Police say investigations are continuing. 

The police’s Hector Netshivdoza said: “A family member went to fetch a mat for him and after a while he heard a gunshot and found the deceased bleeding from the head and his firearm was on the ground. Police at this stage are investigating a case of inquest.”
