Police are investigating a case of double murder and assault after two cricket coaches were found murdered and two other men seriously injured at the Laudium Cricket Stadium in Tshwane.
It’s understood the bodies were discovered this morning by a sportsman while he was practicing cricket at the stadium.
He then alerted security guards.
The two men have been taken to hospital and are in a critical condition.
The police’s Augustinah Selepe says nothing was taken from the homes of the coaches.
“The four victims stayed at the same stadium sharing two homes. The two bodies of the cricket coaches were found in another home and the two were assaulted. Police are investigating two murder cases and assaulted GBH (grievous bodily harm).”
Selepe says the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
