Police Continue to Search for Naushaad Khan after Kidnapping

November 02, 2016

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 02-11-2016

Police are continuing their search for a 46-year-old man after he was kidnapped in Athlone in the Western Cape.

It’s understood Naushaad Khan, the owner of Khan’s Punjabis and his 51 year old colleague were approached by a group of six armed suspects yesterday after leaving their clothing store in Hadji Ebrahim Crescent in Athlone.

The police’s Andre Traut says it’s uncertain if a ransom had been requested by the suspects.

Traut says they are investigating a case of armed robbery and kidnapping.

“The suspects left the scene in a white Toyota LDV with an undisclosed amount of cash and took the 46 year old businessman with them. He is yet to be found. The female victim was left behind on the scene and was not injured during the incident.”

The police have urged anyone with information regarding the matter or Naushaad’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stop on 10111.
