Park Primary School in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg says it will no longer allow queuing at the school by parents who want to register their children for the 2016 academic year.
Last year parents queued for days, with some even sleeping overnight to ensure they were ahead in the queue when admissions opened.
The school governing body of the school has agreed that nobody would be allowed onto the premises of the school until next Tuesday when the official school registration process opens.
It says if parents do trespass the school premises authorities will be called in to remove them
The SGB also says the hall of the school like in the past will not be open to accommodate parents as it creates a risk to the learners and the school.
Queuing at Park Primary is seen as a compliment as parents want their children in the school as it has maintained a quorum of success.
Principal Shukat Khan says they are worried about the safety of the learners if they allow the parents to queue.
“Absolutely crazy and absurd. In fact we had an emergency meeting last night where I put a proposal to the board members that we should look in terms of doing something around this particular issue.
He says the school will only allow parents to enter the school on the day registrations open.
