July 31, 2015

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2015-07-31

A Palestinian baby has been killed and three others members of his family critically injured after suspected Jewish extremists set two homes alight in the early hours of Friday morning in Duma, south of Nablus as the family slept inside.

According to local residents the parents woke up and tried to remove their children from the house, but were unable to save their youngest son. The other torched house was empty at the time.

Little Ali Saad Dawabsha who was eighteen months old died from his wounds he sustained in the blaze.

His father, mother and 4-year-old brother also sustained severe injuries and are being treated in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Nablus.

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has condemned the attack and has heightened its efforts to locate those responsible for this terrorist act.

This attack against civilians is nothing short of a barbaric act of terrorism,” Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Force said. “A comprehensive investigation is under way in order to find the terrorists and bring them to justice.”

The infamous “Price Tag” slogan, typically used by radical Jewish settlers attacking Palestinians houses, as well as other sites like Christian churches, mosques and government buildings, was daubed on the walls of the home, according to police spokeswoman Luba Samri cited by Reuters.
