In this week’s edition of The Palestine Report with Radio Islam International, Hafez Ebrahim Moosa highlighted the volatile days in the Occupied West Bank and Al-Quds.

Over the weekend and the immediate days preceding, the Israelis, in 24 hours, have killed four teenage Palestinians, the youngest being 14 years old.

According to Hafez Ebrahim, the intensity of this raid can be evidenced by the Israelis entering Janine with armoured vehicles, bulldozers, military helicopters and combat drones.

He said the Palestinians responded to this raid with live fire, and those who were unarmed confronted the Israeli soldiers with rocks.

On Saturday evening, a Palestinian resistance operation at an Israeli checkpoint set outside the Shuafat refugee camp in Al-Quds shows a video of a Palestinian man exiting from a car pulled up at the checkpoint.

“He walked from the passenger seat toward the group of Israeli soldiers and shot at them from point blank range. The result of this, announced on Sunday, was that an 18 year old Israeli female soldier was killed while other Israeli armed personnel been injured in the incident.”

The response from the Israelis has been ruthless. They have sealed the entrances and exits of the Shuafat refugee camp.

According to residents from the area, an entire population of around 100 thousand has been besieged.

Al-Quds and the West Bank are on an ice edge. Hafez Ebrahim said the statistics for the past nine months Palestinians have experienced the deadliest year in the confrontation with the Israeli Occupation since 2015.

“At least 164 Palestinians have been killed, yet the scenes in the West Bank show how much the resistance is on an up. There is very intense fight back by Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.”
