November 23, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 23-11-2017

One person has been killed and two others seriously injured after two vehicles collided on the corner of Kingfisher and Penguin Street in Lenasia Extension 1.

Paramedics says on arrival at the scene on Thursday they found a woman lying on the pavement.

It is believed that she was ejected from her vehicle.

ER24’s Ineke van Huyssteen says the exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known.

“Upon further assessment, it was found that she was in a critical condition. Advanced life support interventions were initiated but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and she was declared dead on the scene. Two other patients, found to be seriously injured, were treated by another medical service on the scene and they were transported to hospital for further medical care.”

Van Huyssteen says authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
