Oldest Hajji Arrives in Saudi Arabia to Perform Hajj

As the blessed month of Hajj draws near, the oldest person expected to perform hajj has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At 101-years-old, Attaar Bibi Hussain Baamar, the oldest Indian female hajji, arrived on a flight from India, which landed at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

Baamar who hails from the north Indian state of Punjab is being accompanied by her 60-year-old son and a daughter.

She was welcomed by a number of officials after arriving in Saudi Arabia and thanked them for the warm reception.

Officials says while Baamar is in good health, she will be regularly monitored during her hajj journey.
