No Injuries After Roof Gutter Collapses at Laudium Ijtima

April 14, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 14-04-2017

There were no reports of any injuries after the IBR roof gutter  caved in at the 2017 Ijtima in Laudium north of Johannesburg.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the 4-day event which officially kicked off at the Laudium sports ground yesterday.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to Radio Islam, the IBR sheeting caved in after the weight of the rainfall forced the roof gutter  to collapse at the walkway between the main tent structure of the Ijtima.

No one was injured.

The Ijtima which is the largest Muslim gathering in Southern Africa ends on Monday 17 April after the final dua.
