A newborn baby girl has been found dumped in a dustbin outside a shopping center in Kelvin, Woodmead.
It’s understood a man was going through the dustbin this morning when he made the grim discovery.
He called the security guards at the shopping center who alerted paramedics.
ER24’S Werner Vermaak says paramedics arrived on the scene where they found the baby in the dustbin still wrapped in a small blanket.
“Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for the little girl. It appeared as if she had been dumped during the early hours of the morning. She was later declared dead by paramedics.”
Vermaak says authorities were on scene for further investigations.
