A newborn baby is in a serious condition after she was found abandoned in an open field in Eldorado Park, south of Johannesburg.
It’s understood a bystander spotted the baby while walking to work yesterday.
ER24 paramedics say the child was transported to a nearby clinic by SAPS for further treatment.
“The child was in a serious condition and was being treated by the clinic staff. ER24 paramedics immediately took over the treatment and thereafter transported the child to Baragwanath Hospital for further care.”
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
