Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Ismail Menk says many people are unhappy not because Allah has not blessed them with happiness, sustenance and other barakah, but rather comparing what the Almighty has given them with what others have.

Mufti Menk shared a video on his social media account rendering naseehah about being content with what Allah has destined for a person.

He says Allah has tailor made the gifts that He bestows on the Ummah.

“Sometimes you are in a situation, whether it’s marriage, whether its business, the financial levels we’re on, your health and everything else. We sometimes do not appreciate what we have, not because we don’t have, but because we want to look at others.”

Mufti Menk says the biggest downfall of many are comparing their lives with others when rather they should have contentment of the heart.
