The Saudi Arabian Hajj Ministry says more than three million Umrah visas has been issued for 2019.
Arab News reports the Ministry says about two million pilgrims arrived by air in the Kingdom while at least a hundred and twenty thousand arrived by sea.
The ministry says the largest number of pilgrims were from Pakistan, Indonesia, India, Yemen and the UAE amongst others.
It says developing Hajj and Umrah organizations and services in the Kingdom is among the top priorities of the Saudi government.
“The Vision 2030 reform plan aims to attract more than 30 million Umrah pilgrims, and provide them with excellent services and an outstanding experience.”
