Renowned Islamic scholar Ml Sulaiman Moola says it’s unfortunate that people today are more concerned about their reputation than they are of their character.

Ml Moola was speaking during the 9th Annual Seerah Jalsah in Durban on Sunday together with other renowned Islamic orators including Mufti Ismail Menk and Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Secretary General Ml Ebrahim Bham.

The event which is usually held at the Nurul Islam Masjid in Lenasia included a programme in KwaZulu-Natal due to demand.

It focuses on educating & enlightening people about the beautiful example and life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Ml Moola says the character of a Muslim serves as an example to others.

“We’re more worried about our reputation than our character. Reputation is only the perception of others about us. Characters are what we actually are.”

Ml Moola says Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a beautiful character that was unrivalled.
