Renowned Islamic scholar Ml Sulaiman Moola says Ibne Kathir mentions that a person who does not take out time to reflect, ponder and understand the meaning of the Qur’an renders a person guilty of neglecting the holy Qur’an.
Ml was speaking on the 1st day of Ramadan conducting the tafseer of Surah Yusuf as part of Radio Islam’s Ramadan focus.
Ml Moola says he hope that his tafseer lessons can connect people with the Qur’an.
“Qur’an could be deserted, neglected, forsaken in many ways. This is my gripe and this is my pain. It is my desire that hopefully by virtue of programmes of this nature we can once again find our bond with the Qur’an.”
Ml Moola’s tafseer of Surah Yusuf can be heard every night on Radio Islam during the month of Ramadan from 8:30pm.
