South Africans will be finally getting their hands on the Microsoft Surface devices.
Microsoft South Africa on Wednesday announced the launch of its Surface range in the country introducing the Surface Pro 7 and the Surface Laptop 3, available in both 13.5in and 15in sizes.
Starting with the Surface Pro 7, it takes Microsoft’s iconic 2-in-1 design to the next level, with a faster and more versatile device for professionals on the go.
The Surface Pro features a 12.3in touchscreen, Core i7 Intel processor with 4GB and 16GB of RAM, Intel UHD (for the i3 model) or Intel Iris (for the i5 and i7) graphics, and four SSD options from 128GB to 1TB.
It will be available in Platinum or Matte Black together with the Type Cover which turns it fully-functional notebook.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 starts retailing from R17 999 and are available from 29 July through Vodacom and Incredible Connection.
Businesses and consumers across South Africa will also have access to the latest edition of Microsoft’s laptop series.
The new Surface Laptop 3 makes a statement though a thin, light, and elegant design, offering rich tone-on-tone colour options and new metal keyboard finishes in both the 13.5in and the 15in PixelSense Display configurations.
The Surface Laptop 3 features between 8GB and 16GB of RAM, Core i5 and i7 Intel processors for the 13in model and AMD Ryzen 5 3580U or Ryzen 7 3780U chipsets for the 15in version.
Like the Surface Pro 7 the Surface Laptop 3 will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB SSDa storage options.
The Surface Laptop 3 starts at R22,999 for the 13.5in model and is available from 29 July.
Microsoft has also announced that accessories including the Surface Arc Mouse, Surface Pen and Surface Dock will be available for both devices.
All models of the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 run Windows 10 Home.
