MBS Visit To India Will Strengthen Bilateral Ties Between Countries

An Associate Professor at the Centre for West Asian Studies says the diplomatic visit by the Crown Prince of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman to India will strengthen the broad-based relationship shared by the two countries.

Dr Sujata Ashwarya told Radio Islam that the Crown Prince’s visit to India marks important event as the countries look to strengthen relations with one another.

“India is a buyer of Saudi oil, there are about 2.8 million Indians living and working in Saudi Arabia, there are defence and security cooperation.”

Ashwarya says ties between the two countries have grown significantly over the past two decades.

India’s Foreign Ministry says that the visit will focus on trade and investment, defence and security, including counterterrorism, and renewable energy”.
