Masjid Uthman Gani in Lenasia South has suspended all Salaah in the tent structure after a worshipper tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, the Lenasia South Muslim Association (LSMA) says the worshipper attended fajr, Maghrib and Esha Salaah from 2 June to 5 June 2020.

LSMA says the facilities will be deep-cleaned and sanitised as a matter of urgency.

“It is anticipated that this will take place on 7 June.  We anticipate to re-open the facilities by Fajr 10 June.  We humbly request all brothers who have attended Salaah at the facilities during the respective period to self-quarantine themselves as a precautionary measure.”

LSMA has urged any worshipper  showing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, stomach, muscle fatigue, shortness of breath or any flu like symptoms to have themselves tested and not attend Masjid Uthman Gani once reopened.
