Following up on its earlier announcement made in Ramadan, the Awqaf at Masjid al-Aqsa has announced the Masjid will be re-opened to the public from Sunday.
According to Palestine Information Networks (PIN), there will be no restrictions on the number of worshippers allowed to enter, this after Israeli media reports suggested that the occupation would limit the number of entrants to 500 at a time.
However, the Awqaf adds that appropriate health and safety measures will be in place to keep visitors and worshippers at the masjid safe.
PIN reports that activists in al-Quds have been campaigning for the Masjid to reopen this Friday and have urged vigilance over Israeli occupation authorities seizing the moment to impose any new entry conditions on Muslims.
