Three masaajid in the Netherlands have been attacked by a far-right group.
The Netherlands Diyanet Foundation, Muslim charity fund confirmed that vandals from the Rechts in Verzet group put up banners with Islamophobic content in the entrance of masaajids in the Enschede province,
It says another complex in the Houten province was also defaced by a different far-right group.
The far right group shared footage of the Islamophobic content on their social media accounts saying: “We don’t want a mosque” and “Islam is terror”.
The Netherlands Diyanet Foundation’s Cevdet Keskin told worldbulletin.net the continued attacks on the masaajid in the Netherlands show that necessary measures are not being taken.
“We expect from the relevant authorities to do their best for the security of mosques.”
Keskin adds that while a complaint has been filed with the police, the attack is yet another sign of rising Islamophobia in the country.
