Man Burnt to Death in Olifantsfontein

April 05, 2016

Faizel Patel, 2016-04-05

A man has died after he was apparently set alight on the R21 in Olifantsfontein, north of Johannesburg.

Paramedics says they discovered the burnt body of the man lying on the roadside with his feet apparently been bound with wire.

ER24’s Russel Meiring says the cause of the incident is being investigated.

“ER24 paramedics were called to the scene and found that fire services had already extinguished what seemed to be a small fire. Unfortunately nothing could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene.”
