Man Accused of Shooting Rameez Patel’s Brother Appears in Court

A 22-year-old man who allegedly shot and injured the brother of double murder accused Rameez Patel has made his first appearance in the Mankweng Magistrates court in Limpopo.

Ali Sulmani handed himself over to authorities on Thursday.

He is accused of attempted murder after he allegedly shot Razeen Patel at Makgeng village, in the Mankweng policing area on Sunday

Razeen was rushed to hospital where he is currently recuperating.

The police’s Seabi Mamphaswa says the motive for the shooting is still under police investigations.

The suspect Ali Sulmani appeared before Mankweng Magistrates and his case is postponed to 26 July 2018 for formal bail application. He’s charged with attempted murder.
