Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader Julius Malema has stood by his comments that some Indians are racists saying criticism of his recent anti-Indian statements made at a Youth Day event at Matlosana Stadium in Klerksdorp in the North West are hypocritical.
Malema addressed EFF supporters after a brief appearance in the Newcastle magistrate’s court in KwaZulu-Natal, where his land grab case was postponed.
News24 reports Malema lashed out at the way Africans are perceived when talking about white or Indian racism, calling some black reporters who are critical of his party “house n****rs”.
“You know why [they are critical], because [they believe] Africans can’t think unless they have something to hide. That’s how they view us, including these journalists, who are Indian, who are white, and including some of the house n****rs.
He says when former Constitutional Court Judge Zak Yacoob said that 90% Indians were racist, he was not taken to task.
Malema says he’s being charged for simply repeating what’s in the Freedom Charter and accused the ANC of employing the same tactics as the apartheid government.
