Activist Robert Martin told Radio Islam that mainstream media twisted everything he had learnt about Palestine around.

“And I believed mainstream media, so I was actually a sub conscious racist, so what I decided to do, after reading little bit in 2014 after the Gaza strike, I had many people saying well you have no idea what you are saying or what you are talking about you’ve never been.”

Martin says this is when he planned his first trip to Palestine.

“And so I set off and I went, and what I saw, was worse than what I could have ever imagined with the racism, the oppression of the Palestinian people by Israel was horrific.”

Martin adds that he used his ‘whiteness’ to gain entry in to places where Palestinians were not allowed to go.

“So, I utilized the fact that I could get away with a lot more that what the Palestinians could and I filmed a lot of the abuse that they were doing.”

Martins YouTube videos were deleted by the video hosting website after he openly criticized Israel and its blatant disregard for Palestinian life.
