Speedy Car Sales in Klerksdorp has donated three Muslim burial coaches to needy organizations in Durban, Kimberley and Cape town, with the possibility of sponsoring three more in the near future
It has been a tough year for many people with the COVID-19 pandemic wreaking havoc across the globe.
The Coronavirus pandemic has sparked the spirit of Ubuntu with many organisations and NGO’s assisting the less fortunate during this difficult time.
Among the many good samaritans has been Speedy Car Sales.
Speaking to Radio Islam on Thursday, Speedy Car Sales Nawaz Karim says there is a massive need for hearses throughout the country, especially in small towns.
Karim says the post about the donation has gone viral on Facebook.
“So we decided we had three Volvos and decided to do them up and make them hearses and give them out to all over South Africa. We started off with three and Insha’Allah we looking at doing another three.”
Karim says burial societies need to motivate the need for a Muslim burial coach.
“We are getting guys that are calling us from all over the country. We had a call yesterday from George saying the whole Garden Route needs one. We had a call from Cape Town, so the calls are coming in one way. We have told them that if they meet all the criteria we needed, we’ll have a look at it and Insha’Allah next year we should give three more.”
Karim says Speedy Car Sales will also take the liberty of renewing the burial coach’s licenses for the various organization that have received a hearse.
