Esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Sulaiman Moola says while many people go to exclusive academic and secular institutions, they become oblivious to the elementary aspects of the holy Qur’an.

Ml Moola was highlighting the importance of Qur’an during a Hifz Jalsa in Lenasia.

He says while balance between secular and deeni knowledge is important, it is safer to have exclusive religious values.

“When Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) was asked what is a greater legacy, wealth or knowledge.? He said of course knowledge. So they said what’s the proof? He said because if you leave behind wealth you have to leave someone behind to look after the wealth. But if you leave behind knowledge, knowledge will protect your children.”

Ml Moola made dua for the preservation of the Qur’an in the hearts and minds of Hufaz.
