As the blessed Islamic month of Rajab sets in, esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Ebrahim Bham says, Rajab is one of the four months that have been declared sacred by Allah.

The other three months include Muharram, Dhul-Qa’dah and Dhul-Hijjah

Ml Bham was speaking during the confirmation of the moon, which was sighted in South Africa on Friday.

Following confirmed reports of the sighting of the moon, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) has determined that Rajab 1442 will correspond to Saturday 13 February 2021.

Ml Bham says Allah mentions Rajab as one of the sacred months in the Qur’an

“As believers of Allah we ought to respect what Allah has made sacred. If Allah has made something sacred, we who believe in Allah, we have to show respect to that which Allah declared in the holy Qur’an as sacred.”

Ml Bham says Ulama have said in sacred months, our good deeds are more appreciated and more rewarded by Allah while sins become more serious.

“In the very ayah which I have recited goes onto say ‘don’t oppress yourself by doing wrong in the sacred months and the month is more virtuous.’”

Ml Bham says Muslims should increase the frequency of good deeds during Rajab instead of finding other ways and methods in this sacred months.
