Esteemed Muslim scholar Ml Ebrahim Bham says the passing of time for Muslims is not a cause for celebrations, but rather a time for reflection.

Ml Bham was speaking ahead of the New Year 2020 and the celebrations that are acknowledged when the clock strikes twelve.

Quoting an Arabic poet, Ml Bham says “Life is a series of breaths, when one breath goes, it is gone never ever to be repeated again.”

“Time is even more important that money. Time is life. If you waste time, you waste your life. You master time, you master life. Time mismanaged is a life wasted.”

Ml Bham made dua that Insha’Allah 2020 be a year where people value time for the sake of the betterment of themselves, their communities and Ummah at large with a vision that is commensurate as the servants of Allah.
