German baby goods company Cybex has taken child safety to the next level by empowering parents with revolutionary technology.

Cybex officially launched the e-Priam electronic stroller at the Chelino Baby stand at the Mama Magic Baby Expo at the Dome in Northgate on Saturday.

The stroller boasts some amazing intelligent, intuitive and innovative features that empowers parents to glide up and down hills with ease, and smartly adapts to rough terrain.

With sensors in the handlebar, the e-Priam monitors the pushing and pulling effort, while a smart algorithm guides motors integrated in the frame to add extra support when needed.

When parents travel uphill, the handlebar sensors detect pushing pressure, and the algorithm adds support accordingly. When traveling down a slope, pulling pressure on the handlebar is detected by the sensors, and support is added to slow the stroller’s descent.

The stroller can be charged using a conventional electrical wall socket and once charged, the electric motor lasts for a whole 8 hours of pushing.

Cybex’s Brandon Nichols says the e-Priam is aimed at all parents who are worried about children’s safety.

“The last thing you want to do is lose control of a stroller going downhill or even uphill. So it’s to ease that effort for you as a parent and that’s all about safety.”

The e-Priam will be available to consumers from the beginning of December from Chelino Baby stores including online.
