We have all seen the leaflets of the “fantastic world renowned doctor, moulana or sheikh” neatly tucked under the wipers of our cars or displayed on walls and buildings.
Some are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, but they make wild & wonderful promises that assist you in whatever problem that’s been plaguing you.
Now the Cleanup Lenz Campaign has taken the task to rid and stop the display of filthy herbal healer posters in Lenasia saying it’s a nuisance and defacing the beauty of the suburb.
Speaking to Radio Islam, the Cleanup Lenz Campaign’s Haroon Ukaa say they have found the posters very disturbing.
“It’s also on masjid walls. They found a couple of posters on Jaamia Masjid, Saaberie Masjid around there, even at churches. We want it totally out of Lenz because it’s against our Imaan, against our belief.”
Ukaa says the individuals displaying the posters also claim to be Muslim.
“They are using Muslim names, so it’s creating a very negative image of Islam and these guys have nothing to do with Islam. We actually found that its foreigners that’s not even local that are putting up all these posters and scamming people with all these disgusting things.”
Ukaa says they currently have a WhatsApp group with a total of 58 members from different religions and groups who assist in the removal of the posters in Lenasia and surrounds.
