Limpopo police have arrested a 49 year old woman for allegedly killing a 30 year old man believed to be her boyfriend outside Tzaneen.
It is understood the woman killed the man on Saturday with a sharp instrument following an altercation.
Police say the motive behind the incident is still under investigations but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect is expected to appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.
“The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has condemned with the most strongest terms the continuous acts of gender-based violence which are still prevalent in some parts of the province.”
Ngoepe says police investigations are still continuing.
