News of a baby’s body in a plastic bag surfaced in Turffontein, South of Johannesburg on Wednesday evening, its understood members of the public found the baby and reported it to authorities.
According to ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen, paramedics found the baby boy in the plastic bag when they arrived on the scene around 18:30.
“Unfortunately, the baby was showing no signs of life and paramedics declared him dead at the scene.”
Police are investigating.
