A 76-year-old woman has been found strangled to death in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.
It’s understood the elderly woman’s body was found at her home in Extension 13 on Thursday by members of the community.
No suspects have been arrested.
The police’s Molefe Mokoena says they are investigating a case of murder
“The community were alerted that she was attacked but they don’t know what happened because there was no forced entry. She was found strangled. Paramedics were called and they certified the lady dead on the scene.”
Mokwena has appealed to anyone with information about the murder to contact the police.
