Lenasia Toddler Electrocuted

A two-year-old boy has been killed after he was electrocuted in a yard of a residence in the Extension 17 Precast Settlement in Lenasia.

It is believed toddler had been playing with some exposed wires this afternoon when he was electrocuted.

ER24’s Russel Meiring says local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

“We immediately assisted with performing CPR and provided the patient with numerous advanced life support intervention. Unfortunately after 30 minutes of CPR no vital signs returned and he was pronounced dead on the scene.”

It’s the second child to be electrocuted in Lenasia  this week.

On Monday, a 6-year-old girl died in the Thembelihle informal settlement after coming into contact with a live wire.
