Gauteng Police Commissioner Deliwe de Lange has ranked Lenasia police station as the best in Johannesburg.
De Lange was presenting the 2016/2017 crime statistics in the provincial legislature on Tuesday.
While De Lange singled out the Midrand Police Station as the worst performing station in Johannesburg, she says the Edenvale Police Station was rated the worst in terms of performance targets due to poor leadership.
De Lange also revealed the murder rate has increased by 6.7% while attempted murder went up by 6.5%.
Gauteng police say hijackings, house and business robberies have increased by more than 10% in the past financial year.
While Carjackings increased by 16.9% and house robberies increased by 10.6%, police reported a decrease of 50% in bank robberies.
