Lenasia Police Station Closed for Decontamination After COVID-19 Incident

The Lenasia Police Station  has been temporary closed due to a COVD-19 incident.

In a statement, police say the station will now undergo decontamination.

Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande has apologised for the inconvenience.

“The Community Service Center will be operating at Lenasia CBD Civic Center which is situated next to the police station opposite KFC, c/o Eland and Rose Avenue, Lenasia Extension 1.The telephone landlines at the Community Service Center will not be accessible for the duration of the closure until tomorrow morning, 20 January 2021.”

On Monday the Health Department announced that the number of  COVID-19 infections in SA had risen to 1,346,936 an increase of 9,010 while 37,449 people have died from the virus.
