KZN Man Found Stabbed and Burnt to Death

Police are investigating a case of murder after the burnt body of a 55-year-old man was found along the N11 in Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal.

It’s understood Haroon Warsally the owner of Pelican Security was paying wages to staff during a shift change yesterday when he was apparently robbed.

The police’s Thulane Zwane says the motive for the murder is unknown.

“It is alleged that members received a complaint of a dead body at Newcastle area near Ballengeich Hotel and on their arrival they noticed that it was a body of a man with a stab wound, He was also allegedly burnt as well.”

Warsally’s car was found abandoned a short distance away.

Zwane says a case of murder has been opened by the Newcastle police for further investigation.
