JHB Emergency Services Suspends Ambulance Services in Cosmos City After Crew Attacked

Joburg Emergency Services says it has suspended its ambulance service in Cosmos City after three crew members were attacked and an emergency vehicle damaged. 

It’s understood emergency services from the Cosmos City Fire Station were attending to an assault case on Saturday in the area when they were attacked. 

Joburg Emergency Services Robert Mulaudzi says ambulance crews will only enter the area once its safe to do so. 

“The paramedics together with the patient managed to evacuate the area unharmed. The services will remain suspended until the area is deemed safe for EMS personnel to render this essential service in the area.”
