First we need to know what does the word Muslim means.
Meaning of a Muslim and Islam:
Islam means to “submit ones will to the will of GOD”.
To “voluntarily submit you’re self to God” means to believe in the one God, his Prophets and keep the commandments/laws they brought down for that time., so Islam is not a new religion like how the enemies of Islam propagating, and it did not start by prophet Muhammad 1400 years ago! But it was always there where ever and when ever there was submission to God alone.
A "Muslim" is ONE who has voluntarily submitted his/herself to the Lord who created the heavens and earth and sent Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus ….Muhammad and the rest of the messengers.
According to Islam, all the Prophets from Adam to Noah, to Abraham, to Moses, to Jesus, to Mohammed and all in between as well as their followers were "Muslim" (submissive servants of God) and they practiced "Islam"( submission) doing the will of God by keeping his commandments.
Moses and all his followers were of those who submitted themselves to the Lord who created Adam so they were in the spiritual condition of "Islam" as "Muslims".
For the followers of Moses to stay "Muslim" they would have had to follow the last Israelite Prophet (Messiah) – Jesus — and keep the latest commands sent down by GOD.
For the followers of Jesus to stay "Muslim" they would have had to accept the final Abraham Prophet – Mohammed — and obey the latest commands sent down by GOD.
Did Jesus preach Islam in bible?
The answer is yes! but of course you wont find the word Islam in bible because it is an Arabic word and Jesus did not speak Arabic , but you will find the meaning of it in bible, we said Islam means ( submitting your self to the will of God by obeying him and keeping his commandments ) now lets see if this meaning exist in bible:
Jesus preach Islam in Matthew 7.21
“Not every one that saith unto me, lord, lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my GOD which is in heaven”
And in John 6.38 Jesus confess he is a Muslim –“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him who sent me.”
So here we know clearly that Jesus preached Islam and him self was a Muslim.
For those who are seeking the truth about this great messenger of God Jesus,, we can only say of Jesus what he him self said about him self – not what other people claims without any proof or foundation for their belief .
Let’s see what Jesus said clearly about him self in bible.
1-Muslims believe that Jesus was a man sent by God:
In Quran –God says in what can be translated as:
3.59 “the likeness of Iesa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: "Be!" – And he was”
Does the bible say Jesus was a man?
Act—-{2:22} Ye men of Israel, hear these words-Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in John {8:40} But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God.
2- Muslims believe that Jesus was a servant of God
In Quran God says in what can be translated as:
43.59 Iesa (Jesus)) was not more than a servant, We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel
Other verses..
Quran I am the servant of god , he has given me a revelation and he has made me a prophet Verily the messiah don’t disdain (reject) to be a servant of god nor the closer angels.
Does the bible say Jesus was a servant of God?
Matthew: {12:18}
Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. {12:19} He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
“The God of our fathers has glorified his servant Jesus” (ACTS 3, 13)
3- Muslims believe that Jesus was a messenger sent by God
Does the bible say Jesus was a prophet?
Heb. 3:1, "Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.
Matthew 21-11 and the multitude said, this is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
John 4-44 For Jesus himself testified that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.
Luke 7:16 “Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people."
Jesus, who was a prophet… (Luke 24: 19)
4- Muslims believe that Jesus was a messenger of God to Israel nation only.
Quran 3-49 “And I will make him (Iesa (Jesus)) a Messenger to the Children of Israel”
Does the bible say Jesus was a messenger to Israel nation only?
Matthew 15:24 “But he (Jesus) answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.
5- Muslims believe that Jesus worshipped God and prayed to him
The bible confirms this fact?
Matthew 26:39 “Jesus fell on his face and prayed to his GOD”
Today who pray by prostrating down on the ground but Muslims?
Luke {5:16} and he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed
6- Muslims fast a month every year and even more with optional fast – did Jesus fast?
Matthew 4:2 and Luke 4:2) “After fasting forty days and forty nights, he (Jesus) was hungry”
7- Jesus taught the oneness of God
(Mark 12:29-30, Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27), as conveyed in the first commandment (Exodus 20:3).
Nowhere did he declare the Trinity, nor the word trinity exsist in the whole bible nor any of the prophets preached it .
8-Muslims believe that jesus was taught by GOD and the bible confirm the Islamic view
John 7:16 “So Jesus answered them and said, "My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me
9- Muslims believe that Jesus did miracles by the help of God
Remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection). "O Iesa (Jesus), son of Mary, Remember My Favour to you( Jesus) and to your mother when I supported you with RoohulQudus (Jibrael (Gabriel)) so that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing, AlHikmah (the power of understanding), the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel); and when you made out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My Permission, and you breathed into it, and it became a bird by My Permission, and you healed those born blind, and the lepers by My Permission, and when you brought forth the dead by My Permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from you (when they resolved to kill you) since you came unto them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said: This is nothing but evident magic.
Does the bible confirm that Jesus only did miracles by the help of God?
Act—-{2:22} Ye men of Israel, hear these words-Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in.
John 5: 30 – “I can of mine own self do nothing
10-Jesus was bearded, as are most Muslims, but only the rare Christians
11-Jesus dressed modestly.
12-Jesus' mother covered her hair
13–Jesus taught his disciples to offer the greeting of “Peace”
(Luke 10:5), and then set the example: “Peace be with you” (Luke 24:36, John 20:19, John 20:21, John 20:26). Who continues this practice to this day, Christians or Muslims? “Peace be with you” is the meaning of the Muslim greeting, “Assalam alaikum.” Interestingly enough, we find this greeting in old test as well (Genesis 43:23, Numbers 6:26, Judges 6:23, I Samuel 1:17 and I Samuel 25:6).
14-Jesus was circumcised
(Luke 2:21). Paul taught it wasn’t necessary (Rom 4:11 and Gal 5:2). Muslims believe it is and still do it .
15- Jesus didn’t eat pork, in keeping with Old Testament law
(Leviticus 11:7 and Deuteronomy 14:8). Muslims also believe pork is forbidden
After all this who is Jesus?
Jesus is assumed to be exactly what he called himself in the clear texts above, Jesus as we proved was a man , servant of GOD , has little knowledge than GOD, was sent by GOD–taught by GOD , given miracles by GOD, submitted to GOD, feared GOD, prayed to GOD –prostrated to GOD–fasted to GOD- – with clear texts Jesus is a Muslim and called to Islam
