The Jamiatul Ulama of South Africa has released a statement condemning the latest masjid abuse that has surfaced
A Tanzanian man was arrested after he allegedly molested and photographed twin 5 year old girls at the local masjid in Evaton, south of Johannesburg.
According to the Star Newspaper, the man made the young girls lie on the ground, take off their trousers and underwear, and would then take pictures of their half-naked bodies with his cellphone… read the article here.
“We have been alarmed at the news from Evaton, South of Johannesburg, where a man is alleged to have abused and molested young children,” said the secretary general of Jamiatul Ulama South Africa Moulana Ebrahim Bham.
“We would like condemn any such acts that we consider as heinous and destructive to our society, preying on children, robbing of their innocence and dignity.”
“The reported arrest of a suspect give us hope that a clear signal will be sent to all perverted minds that such incidents are not condoned, and hence be curtailed everywhere be it at workplaces, homes and places of sanctuary such as masjids,” added Moulana Bham.
