Jamiat Lenasia’s Madressa Aisha (RA) & Ulwazi Skills Centre Empowering Women

Madressa Aisha (RA) and the Ulwazi Skill Centre held their annual graduation at the Nurul Islam Hall in Lenasia yesterday.

An initiative of the Jamiatul Ulama Lenasia branch, both centers since they were launched in 2010, have managed to skill and empower 489 ladies in the sewing course, 555 in computers, 205 in baking, 180 in cooking and 38 in arts and crafts.

The Jamiatul Ulama says it continuously monitors graduates as to how the courses benefitted them and how they earning a living.

The Ml Ashraf Varachia says both centers empower women with skills to earn a livelihood with honour and dignity.

“Alhamdulillah many learners graduated in different fields and skills empowering learners from Lenasia and surrounding areas. The learners were very happy and excited by their achievements.”
