The Islamic Help Line together with the Bright Beginnings Preschool in Lenasia will be distributing at least 500 Winter Eid gift packs to the less fortunate to make their Eid day a little more joyous and warmer.
The “Warm Hearts Warm Hands” Eid card making days on the 27 & 28 June brings together Volunteers and children aged between 4 and 16 to prepare the gifts which include a scarf, gloves, a chocolate and an Eid card with an inspirational message.
The packs are expected to be distributed to the children of Kersiedorp and Klipspruit on Thursday.
The Islamic Help Lines Nabila Madi says Eid is a time for giving and sharing and should be enjoyed by everyone.
“The ‘Warm Hearts Warm Hands’ project is an initiative of the Islamic Help Line. It’s a way for us to teach our children to be able to feel sympathy and empathy for the underprivileged children.”
