ISLAMIC DIET

July 24, 2008

Ali RA said: “Allah removes seventy kinds of diseases from the one who begins eating with salt. He who eats daily, seven dried dates, the worms of his stomach are destroyed. He who eats daily, twenty one raisins of reddish colour will not feel any pain in his body.

Meat begets meat. Sarid (cooked dates with sugar) is a tiffin of the Arabs. The belly grows large if sweet things are eaten. Beef creates diseases, milk has a cure and clarified butter has medicinal effects. Fat comes from diseases.

There is no better thing than fresh grapes for a mother who has just given birth to a child.

Fish melts the body; and Quran-reciting and tooth-stick removes scum.”
