Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Affairs has refuted reports claiming that muezzins in masaajid across the Kingdom have been instructed to pronounce the Eid takbeeraat.
The Saudi Gazette reports that the ministry on its official Twitter account says the reports are fake and that it has not issued any instructions to muezzins.
“The Ministry denies the news that was circulated in a newspaper and some social media news sites regarding the assignment of muezzin of mosques to pronounce the Eid takbeeraat, noting that the news is not true and the Ministry did not issue anything in this regard.”
The ministry has urged people only to share information from its valid sources.
