Investec has confirmed that man who posted racist comments on Facebook does not work for the company.
Facebook user Ryan Gerber who claims to work as a private banker for Investec posted derogatory comments against a fellow user.
The post has since gone viral and has been shared multiple times.
Speaking to Radio Islam, Investec’s Danni Dixon says Gerber has never worked for Investec at anytime and that the profile is likely a fake.
“He has never and isn’t currently an employee of Investec. We’ve opened up a case with the police and waiting for the final confirmation of the fraudulent profile.”
Dixon says Investec condemns any forms of hate speech, racism and discrimination.
